[HC2/HCL] Run a scene using device buttons

Description

You’re already enjoying your journey with FIBARO system but you don’t know how to do something, and that issue is terribly bothering you? Check this instruction out and enjoy our system even more!

When you’re looking at your devices list, you can see that some of them are divided into a few parts.  Some of those parts are marked with the pilot icon or with the movie clapper icon. This piece of instruction will let you know the difference between them and how to use them.

 

Requirements

  • FIBARO Home Center Lite/2,
  • PC or Mac with the network connection.
  • Device with Scene Activation or Central Scene feature enabled.

 

Step-by-step guide

 

Central Scene

Central Scene is marked with the movie clapper icon.

If you want to use your devices marked with the movie clapper icon to run a scene, click on the tool icon on the chosen device frame.

You will see a little frame with graphics which are showing actions you have to perform to start something.
The number in the blue circle is a number assigned to button on your device.

 

Adding Reaction for the button

  1. Click on the “NEW Reaction +” button to add a device or scene for THEN action.
  2. Choose device or scene from the list below and click NEXT.
  3. Choose an action performed by the device and click NEXT.
  4. Your reaction has been saved.

Choosing a reaction while making a scene

  1. Block scene

    When you’re making a block scene using one of a Central Scene devices you can choose an action which will be the activator of a scene.
    Key 1 or Key2 will activate a scene after any action performed with this button.

    Key1/Key2 Pressed – button pressed once

    Key1/Key2 Released – button released

    Key1/Key2 HeldDown –  button held down

    Key1/Key2 Pressed 2 – button pressed twice

    Key1/Key2 Pressed 3 – button pressed thrice

  2. Magic scene

    Key1/Key2 Held –  button held

    Key1/Key2 Pressed – button pressed once

    Key1/Key2 Pressed 2 – button pressed twice

    Key1/Key2 Pressed 3 – button pressed thrice

 

Scene Activation

Scene Activation is marked with the pilot icon.

If you want to use your devices marked with the pilot icon to run a scene, click on the tool icon on the chosen frame.

You may not see any frames with possible actions, but don’t worry. You can add them by performing actions like single click, double click, triple click, etc. In this case, the ID of an action will be added as a number.
Check FIBARO manuals to find out what action is assigned to the number you see.

For example for Dimmer 2:

13 – release

14 – double click

16 – single click

Adding Reaction for the button

  1. Click on the “NEW Reaction +” button to add device or scene for THEN action.

  3. Choose an action performed by the device.
  4. Your reaction has been saved.

Examples of the scenes

  1. The magic scene: setting temperature for 19.5°C by pressing Roller Shutter button.
  2. The block scene: Running scene: Home Cinema after pressing the Dimmer button.
  3. The magic scene: Running scene Dinner after pressing the Dimmer button.
  4. The block scene: Turning The Wall Plug into Opposite State by any action of any button of the Roller Shutter.
