FIBARO Smart Home Bot allows you to control lights, blinds/shutters, cameras, thermostats, sensors, scenes and even more with Messenger app.

  • FIBARO Home Center 3, Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite with firmware 4.160 or newer,
  • FIBARO ID account with Home Center added (FIBARO ID is an account that allows you to use all FIBARO services with one profile),
  • Facebook/Messenger.com account.

Regional accessibility and languages supported

  • FIBARO Smart Home Bot is available in English, but other language versions will be available soon
  • Integration can be used with both mobile and browser interface versions of Messenger.

FIBARO Smart Home Bot is an online text bot which allows you to control your FIBARO Home Center system by the Facebook/Messenger.com platform.


To control your system with FIBARO Smart Home Bot you need:
– FIBARO Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite with firmware 4.160 or newer,
– FIABRO ID account with Home Center added (FIBARO ID is an account that allows you to use all FIBARO services with one profile),
– Facebook/Messenger.com account.


FIBARO ID is an account that allows you to use many FIBARO services with one profile.


You can control FIBARO system with Messenger App and Messenger Lite App.


You can use it in a web browser as well as in the apps.


It is possible to use FIBARO Smart Home Bot through Messenger.com – apps (iOS and Android) and through the web browser.


One FIBARO ID account can be connected with many Facebook/Messenger.com accounts.


“Get started” and then “login”.


There are some device names that we don’t recommend. Don’t use words such as “scene, light, list, turn, switch etc.” as a device name. It is also not recommended to use the same word in various names (like “kitchen” as a room and “kitchen lights” as a device).


Yes, you can use one FIBARO Smart Home Bot to control all gateways connected to your FIBARO ID account.

You can control lights, blinds/shutters, cameras, sensors, scenes and more.


You: “Discover [scenes/rooms/programs/switchable devices/ programmable devices/ thermostats/lights/cameras/doors and windows].”
Bot: “Start controlling Your home.”


Yes, by adding multiple Home Center controllers to one FIBARO ID and selecting one to control with “Tell FIBARO to list Home Center devices” command.


You can control them by or using room name from your FIBARO System. Alternatively you can create scenes that control multiple devices.


Devices are refreshed with every inquiry. You can also use “Discover devices” command to refresh them instantly.


Make sure that:

– Your Home Center is properly connected to Remote Access via FIBARO ID.
– Your Home Center is on the list of connected gateways on home.fibaro.com.
– Your Home Center is updated to version 4.160 or newer.

You can also try to use again the command: “Discover devices/List my devices.” and then choose your Home Center device.


For your safety FIBARO Smart Home Bot service does not allow to control devices connected with security. Devices of types listed below and scenes that control such devices will not be discovered:
– Doorlocks (e.g. Kwikset, Shlage)
– Intercoms (e.g. Mobotix, Helios)
– Alarms (e.g. Satel, DSC)
– Security sensors and barriers (e.g. motion sensors, door sensors)
– Virtual Devices

In Home Center configuration interface:
1. Open device configuration (wrench icon).
2. Select “Advanced” tab.
3. In “Controlled Device” field select “Wall lamp”, “Garden lamp”, “Lighting” or “Bedside lamp”.
4. Save configuration.


This option is not available at the time. Use separated commands to successfully perform the action.
