General
FIBARO ID is a unique form of identification for FIBARO users which allows you to log in once to access all FIBARO services.
With FIBARO ID you may use Remote Access (home.fibaro.com), Installer App, FIBARO Academy, FIBARO DESK and FIBARO Marketplace.
Make sure that the e-mail address you use with your Remote Access account (home.fibaro.com) is correct and update your Home Center to version 4.110. After that, update FIBARO mobile app to the latest version. When you receive an activation e-mail concerning your FIBARO ID, activate the account by clicking the link and setting a password.
FIBARO ID is the only available method of logging in to Remote Access.
The e-mail you have received contains the activation link. Click it to be taken to the login screen. When logging in for the first time, you will be asked to create a new password. Then you may log in at https://id.cloud.fibaro.com.
Yes, it is required.
Yes, but due to security reasons we recommend using FIBARO ID or VPN.
Yes, using remote access through FIBARO ID is not mandatory but we highly recommend this option.
No, only for Remote Access.
Version 4.110 provides key changes in security, which are mandatory for proper work within FIBARO ID when using mobile app for Remote Access. If you don’t use mobile app, updating to 4.110 is not necessary, but we recommend updating your gateway to latest GA version.
We store only data mandatory to log in to Remote Access and general statistic data (not identifying or individual). Home Center local credentials are not stored.
Troubleshooting
We recommend using the latest stable version of Home Center.
There are few things you can do:
1) Make sure Home Center have access to the Internet (three LEDs are on from right hand side).
2) Make sure, that Remote Access in LAN Settings is turned on.
3) Make sure, that Home Center’s software is up to date.
4) Make sure (or ask your internet service provider), that ports 22nd and 443rd are not blocked on your firewall/router.
5) Restart Home Center.
If none of the above help, please let us know and send us Home Center’s serial number (HC2-xxxxxx or HCL-xxxxxx) to [email protected].
If FIBARO ID configuration screen has not appeared, go to Settings and tap Configure in Fibaro ID section.
If you log in for the first time, make sure you use the same e-mail address as for your Remote Access account.
If you went through the Wizard, make sure you are using your e-mail as a login (not admin like before).
Yes, it has to be changed to your e-mail address during the Wizard.
First of all, check your SPAM folder. If you have not found an e-mail there, your account may not have been migrated yet. Please wait a few days and contact the FIBARO support if the e-mail has still not arrived ([email protected]). You can speed up sending the activation e-mail by visiting https://id.cloud.fibaro.com and entering your e-mail address. Activation link will be sent within a few minutes.
Go to https://id.cloud.fibaro.com and type in your e-mail address – the activation link will be resent if your e-mail exists in our database. If not, you will be redirected to the registration page.
