[HC2/HCL] Block Scene: Toast sandwiches in the morning

Description

With Block scenes you can do much more than in magic ones. With two scenes you can not only start toaster at the exact time but also turn it off automatically.
 

Requirements

1. FIBARO Home Center Lite or Home Center 2,
2. PC or Mac,
3. FIBARO Wall Plug.

Result

Two scenes that will turn on the Wallplug on the previously set time and later it’ll turn it off.

Step-by-step guide

First scene

1. Log in to your Home Center through the web browser.



2. Select Scenes from the top menu.



3. Click Add scene under the Scenes header located in the sidebar.



4. Click Add in Add scene using graphic blocks section.



5. Create the first scene. It will describe conditions to run the scene and turn on the Wall Plug.
6. First, create new triggering event – time block – and then Days of the week when you can choose days and time when scene will start. (In this case from Monday to Friday at 8:30 AM).



7. Now set an action that will take place after triggered conditions. Select then block.



8. First event is turning on Wall Plug.
9. Click the + (plus) icon, select Devices and find your device: Wall Plug, then set comparator: = (equal).





10. Select the status from the list: Turn On.



11. When everything is set, click the Save icon.



12. Name the scene and assign to the suitable room.
13. Save changes.

Second scene

1. The following action is creating a second scene that will turn Wall Plug off.
2. Select Scenes from the top menu.



3. Click Add scene under the Scenes header located in the sidebar.



4. Click Add in Add scene using graphic blocks section.



5. Set triggering conditions:
6. Select red date block and set a day and time of the week (in this case from Monday to Friday at 8:45 AM).



7. Select Then block.
8. In next step set the events that will happen after triggered conditions.
9. Click on Then Select + (plus) button and set the device to Wall Plug, click on = (equal), and the green block to Turn Off.



10. When everything is set, click the Save icon.



11. Name the scene and assign to the suitable room.
12. Click the Save icon to complete.
