Amazon Alexa – Yubii integration

Description

The Amazon Alexa and Yubii work together to make devices even more convenient to use. System and voice control by Amazon will help you to control lights, blinds, temperature, sensors, scenes and even more without lifting a finger. There won’t be a need to find your phone, use wall switches or any other remotes – just talk to Alexa.

Amazon Alexa

Amazon Alexa is Amazon’s voice service that responds to questions and commands. Alexa can give you the latest news, tell you the current weather forecast, play music, control connected home products, and much more.

ID

ID is an account that allows you to use many services with one profile. When you join the ID account with your Alexa account you allow us to share data about your Home (devices connected to the Home Center) with Amazon. This data sharing is necessary so that Amazon is able to provide Alexa services.

  • Yubii Home (with firmware 4.130 or newer),
  • ID account,

Can I control multiple Home Center gateways?

Not at the same time. You can change which gateway is used in Alexa by activating it as default integration gateway at home.fibaro.com.
Alternatively, if you have multiple ID accounts you can create Alexa Household Profile and switch between user profiles with ID account assigned to each.

Interface limits

The discovery interface describes messages used to identify the endpoints associated with the user’s device account.

Endpoints are the devices associated with the user account and the capabilities the skill supports for them. The endpoints field is subject to size limits.

The discovery interface has the following limits for each user:

  • Maximum number of endpoints — 300
  • Maximum number of capabilities for each endpoint — 100
  • Maximum payload size for AddOrUpdateReport event — 256 kilobytes (KB)

Note: If scenes are not visible in the application, ensure that the maximum number of endpoints is not reached.
